Membership in the National Railroad Equipment Preservation Foundation directly supports active preservation, restoration, education, and public engagement centered on historic railroad equipment. We are proud to partner with steam locomotive Chesapeake & Ohio #614 and their support equipment and operations. These tiers are structured similarly to leading heritage rail organizations while reflecting the hands-on nature of NREPF’s mission.

Railfan Membership — $100 per year
Designed for those that don’t have time to volunteer but what early access to excursion and special event tickets. All of our ticketing will be open up 24-48 hours early to our members. If you want to volunteer, you will need to join at our next level. That level includes insurance to cover you as a volunteer representing NREPF.
Includes
• Early Access to buy tickets (24-48 hours before general public)
• Inside information including railfan guides and timetables for excursions
Sustaining Membership — $200 per year
Ideal for individuals who want to support preservation by volunteering and learning skills needed to restore vintage railroad equipment. (This includes working on support equipment and servicing operations crew for C&O Steam Locomotive #614)
Benefits include
• Priority notice for volunteer opportunities to work on vintage railroad equipment (Monthly work sessions)
• First opportunities to sign-up for assisting operating crews and car hosts for excursions
